In 1988 so much attention was devoted to the arrival of Don & Phil on these shores that one might expect them to be some kind of royalty! Plenty of coverage on television and in newspapers and magazines was given to The Everly Brothers who performed in concert here for the first time in 16 years. And what a concert tour it would turn out to be. Just imagine Phil actually walking on Wooden Shoes during a concert, the Everlys being banned from a discotheque in Amsterdam due to a formal dressing code and a huge amount of attention from the media wherever they went!
